Specs
Nelson.
Found: Barcelona, 2017, from a tip that took us to a beach side market and a pickle or two.
Inspired: Made in 1950s America, often standard army issue and considered butters in their time.
Now: Bridge keyholed. Face broadened. Brow chamfered. Named after Nelson, Barca resident. A tipster and all round gent. "Do you trust me?" He asked. We're glad we did.
Size: 52-20-150 (mm).
Fraser.
Found: Local, deep in the arches of North London.
Inspiration: 60s Italian bifocals with delicate lines and a strong brow.
Now: Bold, softened by an angled central brow detail.
Size: 53-18-150 (mm).
Pinto.
Found: First spotted hunting through flea markets in Paris.
Inspiration: From the 40's and made in France. A classic shape called Crown Panto, misread by one of us as Pinto.
Now: A slightly raised key hole bridge and a lower frame that mirrors the angled brow.
Size: 52-20-150 (mm).
Otis.
Found: From a collector in King’s Cross. He opened with, “Do you want to see some treasure?”
Inspiration: A gem from the 80's with a heavily chamfered bridge and brow.
Now: Subtle and similar. Updated with a gentle trim and shape up.
Size: 52-19-150 (mm).
Carril.
Found: Digging in a market, Mercado De Carril, Madrid.
Inspiration: Sharp, 70s Americana. They meant business.
Now: Boxed off hinge lugs and softened brow angles. A little more pleasure, but still the business.
Size: 54-17-150 (mm).
Morris.
Found: In our favourite collectors archive. Kings Cross, London.
Inspired: Uniquely the Morris is inspired by two frames instead of one. His and hers, 1950’s American ‘Safety Series’ vintage.
Now: From his and hers to something for everyone. We moved the hard lines of the his frame ‘inside’ and increased the lens depth. The elegant lines of the ‘hers’ frame inspire the silhouette, with a slightest brow incline borrowed from German design.
Size: 48-21-150
